This fragrance pays homage to the Bornean Kadazan-Dusun legend of self-sacrifice, “HUMINODUN” – a figure transformed into rice, allowing crops to grow and saving people from famine. It symbolizes renewal, reverence for nature, the connection between spirit and earth. Inspired by Borneo’s rich cultural heritage and lush landscapes, the scent blends vibrant “tuhau” (Borneo wild ginger) – a pungent, watery, aromatic staple of Kadazandusun cuisine – with pandan and jasmine rice. Exotic florals – orchid, jasmine absolute, and Malaysian ylang-ylang – form a blooming heart, while a base of patchouli and grounding animalic notes embody the harmony between raw and primal elements. It begins with pandan’s green nutty sweetness and the soft nuances of jasmine rice, enriched by vibrant and pungent “tuhau”.
