CHERA PEOPLE

Chera People is a living archive of Kerala’s forgotten stories, preserved through
scent.
Named after the mighty Chera Dynasty that once ruled the southern Indian state of
Kerala – fondly known as God’s Own Country – Chera People is a sensory storytelling
project founded by brothers Ranju Rajumohan and Akash Sandhyamohan. As
devoted fragrance lovers, their shared passion for perfumes became a gateway to
something deeper: a desire to preserve the stories, folklore, rituals, myths, and
cultural memories that have shaped their homeland through generations.
Each fragrance is crafted as an immersive journey into memory, place, and
imagination. Through the marriage of perfumery and narrative, we seek to transform
forgotten echoes of the past into experiences that can be felt, worn, and
remembered.
Created in small batches with an emphasis on craftsmanship and artistic expression,
our creations blend meticulously selected natural materials with deeply rooted
storytelling. Every scent becomes an invitation to step beyond the present and into
worlds shaped by history, legend, and lived memory.
