大佛之香｜Damfool perfume

Season 1

第一季作品聚焦于在广东生活的回忆，以广东凉茶与广东糖水为灵感，并基于西普香调元素的基础上，做出了这两只作品。

The first season’s works focus on memories of life in Guangdong. Inspired by Guangdong herbal tea and Guangdong sweet soup, and based on the elements of Chypre, these two works were created.

剪绺树

SleeveCutter

灵感来自广东凉茶，用五种不同的草药花熬制而成的香气，一种油润的清凉慢慢转化成多种迷人的草药元素，墨绿色的花香。

The inspiration comes from Guangdong herbal tea. It is made by simmering five different herbs and flowers. The aroma gradually transforms from a smooth and refreshing sensation into a variety of charming herbal elements, with a dark green floral scent.

灵感来自广东糖水，我幼年时期钟爱的一种甜汤，由杏仁与黄糖熬制，再加入黄桃与些许玫瑰而成的迷人气味。甚至有一种中国传统黄酒的香气。

The inspiration comes from Guangdong sweet soup, a kind of sweet soup I loved during my childhood. It is made by simmering almonds and brown sugar, and then adding yellow peaches and a little rose to create an intriguing flavor. Even it has the aroma of a traditional Chinese yellow wine.

第二季作品是以一次重回福建故乡的经历展开的，从村口的老黄牛，到祖屋，到标志性的祭祖仪式，再到童年玩耍的河流。通过复古的食物与农村动物气息来展示一系列感情充沛的气味场景。

The second season of the work is based on an experience of returning to one’s hometown in Fujian. It starts with an old yellow ox at the village entrance, then the ancestral house, the distinctive ancestral worship ceremony, and finally the river where one played as a child. Through retro food and rural animal scents, it presents a series of emotionally rich olfactory scenes.

Muú【Cattle】

描绘了在闽南农村抚摸田ᰀ边的黄牛场景，一种残留在手掌中温暖的黄牛毛皮油脂香气，是穿梭在红砖房屋与农田之间所累积的岁月气味。充满生命力。

It depicts a scene in the rural area of southern Fujian, where one is touching the yellow cattle near the fields. The warm aroma of the yellow cattle’s fur and fat remaining in the palm is the smell accumulated over the years while walking between the red-brick houses and the farmland.

It is full of vitality.

这是一个具有空间感的气味，描述了古老的房子，里面有老旧的家具气息，酱油腌渍食物所留下的陈年气味。

This is an odor with a sense of space, depicting an old house with the scent of old furniture and

the lingering aroma left by pickled food preserved in soy sauce.

【Ask of Ancestor】

这是一种闽南的传统仪式，我童年经常观看的画面，放满食物的祭台与燃烧传统线香的气味，两块半月形的红木块上，沾满了世世代代的气味。

This is a traditional ritual from southern Fujian. It was a scene I often witnessed during my childhood, with a sacrificial altar filled with food and the scent of burning traditional incense. On two crescent-shaped pieces of redwood, the smell of generations past was lingering.

第三季是基于澳门这座小小的码头城市展开的幻想，想像出一座由三条大江交汇，码头聚集的小镇子上发生的故事。三款作品分别运用了三种并不常用的气味元素，描绘了三个由悲剧色彩包裹的人物，讲述他们所发生的具有寓言意义的故事。

The third season is an imaginative story set in the small port city of Macau, imagining the events that take place in a town where three major rivers converge and where docks are densely located. The three works respectively employ three uncommon odor elements to depict three characters wrapped in tragic hues, and tell stories with allegorical significance that they have experienced.

懦弱的猛虎

Silent Tiger

运用榴莲与坚果壳进行碰撞后出现的稀有气味体验，表现出故事人物里力大无穷的弱智儿的形象。黄油菌的加入增加了一分悲伤感。

The rare aroma experience resulting from the collision of durian and nut shells portrays the image of a super-strong but mentally challenged child in the story. The addition of butter mushrooms adds a touch of sadness.

懒惰的蝴蝶

Untouchable Butterfly

以山椒和黄油对冲，再加上胡萝卜粉末，作出一种脆弱的如同蝴蝶翅膀般的脆弱气味，与故事中的女角色的情节互相呼应。

Using pepper and butter to blend together, a delicate scent like that of a butterfly’s wings is created, which echoes the storyline of the female character in the story.

Hidden Peacock

这是一款雌雄同体的美妙气味，模糊了界限，用一种近乎复古黄金时代香水的气味来描述一个关于小男孩的悲剧故事。

This is a wonderful androgynous fragrance that blurs the boundaries. It is described with an odor reminiscent of the perfume of the golden age, telling a tragic story about a little boy.

坟前花

GraveFlower

这是在中国传统节日清明节所创作的作品，回到故乡县城山里扫墓的所见所闻。我的祖先并没有名字，是用一些᯿复的几何符号来代表他们的宗族，他们的坟墓在百多年前被河水淹没沉入湖底，如今湖水退去后，他们坐落在一座小小的山丘之下，那里长满了小而粗糙的野花，我们的习俗是要清理杂草，焚烧七彩的纸钱，以及重新描绘墓碑上的红色漆字，我讲记忆里的味道都还原出来了。

This is a work created during the traditional Chinese festival of Qingming Festival. It depicts what I witnessed and experienced when returning to my hometown in the county mountain to visit the graves. My ancestors had no names; instead, some repetitive geometric symbols were used to represent their clan. Their graves were submerged by the river over a hundred years ago and sank to the bottom of the lake. Now, after

the lake water has receded, they are located beneath a small hill. There are small and rough wildflowers growing there. Our custom is to clear the weeds, burn colorful paper money, and repaint the red painted characters on the tombstones. I have brought back all the memories’ scents.

这是基于第一季的故事所延展出来的DLC，描绘了剪 绺树故事中，埋葬主角的树。我想表现出一种，多年之后人们依然会口口相传一个小人物英雄的故事，并习以为常的在埋葬英雄的树下乘凉。这也是闽南人民对于祖先最亲切的态度。我运用超过五种不同品种的中国柑橘及三种顶级乳香进行创作。

This is an expansion pack based on the story of the first season, depicting the tree that buried the

protagonist in the story of the “SleeveCutter”. I wanted to convey the idea that many years later,

people would still pass on the story of a small hero and take it for granted to enjoy the shade under the tree where the hero was buried. This is also the most affectionate attitude of the people of Fujian

towards their ancestors. I used over five different varieties of Chinese citrus fruits and three top

quality frankincense for the creation.

这是在马来西亚槟城的一次悠闲假期中的所见所闻。我去拜访了一个经营长达一个世纪后即将消失没落的 古老香料工厂，探索了最古老的槟城肉豆蔻的一生。并将它通过这支作品，带来给你。

This is what I witnessed and experienced during a leisurely vacation in Penang, Malaysia. I visited an ancient spice factory that had been in operation for over a century and was about to decline and disappear. I explored the entire life of the oldest Penang nutmeg. And through this work, I bring it to you.

树王

Lord of Tree

灵感来自于阿城小说「三王」中的树王。运用了多种产自中国的原材料，展现了树王的两个面貌。其一是生长了树百年的参天老树，亘古的树皮散发的带有发酵的树脂香。另一面是朴素守山人，硕大厚实带有老伤的手掌，细腻的操刀架斧技术，耿直火爆的纯粹脾性。

Inspired by the “Tree King” in Ah Cheng’s novel “Three Kings”, this work employs a variety of raw materials from China to present two aspects of the Tree King. One is the towering ancient tree that has grown for a hundred years, with its ancient bark exuding a fermented resinous fragrance. The other is the simple mountain keeper, with his large, thick hands bearing old scars, his delicate knife and axe handling skills,

and his straightforward and fiery pure temperament.

Macau Egg tarts

源于葡萄牙的地道甜品：蛋挞。如今是澳门必不可缺的特色美食。我将嗅觉灵魂之旅传送到了澳门，我从小生活的地方。我依然记得在河边的蛋挞店里吃甜品的气味。牛油、曲奇、奶酪、酸奶、以及新鲜的柠檬皮碎，门口有一颗鸡蛋花树，我将这些香气全都放进口中。

A traditional dessert originating from Portugal: egg tart. It is now an indispensable local delicacy in Macau. I transported my olfactory soul journey to Macau, the place where I grew up. I still remember the smell of the desserts in the egg tart shop by the river. Butter, cookies, cheese, yogurt, fresh lemon peel crumbs, and an egg flower tree at the entrance – I put all these fragrances into my mouth.

法式香蕉酒

这是我印象中的巴黎，我尝试用各种美食元素绘制一幅抽象画。古老的香蕉酒，蓝莓，柔软的巧克力，以及多种色彩组合而成的花朵。再浇上香甜的白兰地和朗姆酒，这是法式甜点给予我的不可磨灭的体验。

This is the Paris that I remember. I tried to create an abstract painting using various culinary elements. There were the aged banana wine, blueberries, soft chocolate, and flowers composed of various colors. Then, sweet brandy and rum were added on top. This is the indelible experience that French desserts gave me.

使用了西藏高原的放养藏牦牛粪萃取而成的牦牛香酊剂，丰富的草壤泥土风味以及让人惊喜的乳酸发酵气味。加上摩洛哥产有机血橙及斯里兰卡桂皮组合而成的异域元素。如同一支运送物资的牦牛商队，步过高原，踏入森林，毛皮温热，蹄土芬芳。

This Tibetan yak dung extract from the Tibetan Plateau, rich in grassy, earthy and woody notes, and with a surprising lactic fermentation aroma, is combined with organic blood oranges from Morocco and Ceylon cinnamon to create an exotic blend. It’s like a yak caravan transporting goods, crossing the plateau and entering the forest, with warm fur and the fragrance of the earth beneath their hooves.
